Unbelievable Live Performances
Unbelievable Truth play two unusual gigsThe British are one of the few nations who queue, so the tourists walking the streets of Oxford on a warm Sunday night could have been mistaken for thinking that the queue of four hundred people outside Virgin Megastore was an added attraction to the city of dreaming spires. They would have been wrong, but then they didn't know that Oxford's latest prodigal sons, Unbelievable Truth were playing inside the store. Unbelievable Truth opened with their Shifty Disco debut single, shortly followed by Solved, the atmospheric Angel, Forget About Me and Stone which were all mixed in with two new tracks. A deliciously delicate vocal solo by Andy Yorke Whose Side Are You On? and Landslide. Finishing with Higher Than Reason the queue formed once again, this time to meet the band and buy the album. It took over an hour to dissipate, although it was the quietest most orderly of queues, but then this was an Unbelievable Truth gig and there's method in their melancholy. The story doesn't end there! Every album bought that night, and every other copy of Almost Here contains a web link to the band's site. On arrival punters were asked to vote for their favourite three songs from the album. Here are the results
